The real problem is how people choose to solve the problem.
From between nations to between individuals, bitterness, wars and clashes often result from one or both sides not willing to rationally talk and work things out.
When one has an advantage, he makes use of it and gain an upper hand in the conflict, ignoring what's fair and just, creating possible worse future problems.
So it's the conflict resolution that's the problem.
